Lina Ricks, PA-C
Lina Ricks is a board-certified physician assistant with a genuine passion for dermatology and patient-centered care. She joined the team at Fora Dermatology with a strong clinical foundation, advanced procedural experience, and a heartfelt commitment to helping patients feel confident in their skin.
Her journey in dermatology began before PA school, when she worked as a dermatology medical assistant for two years. During that time, she discovered her love for the specialty and knew she wanted to build her career in dermatology. That early experience shaped her approach to care and gave her a deep appreciation for the patient experience from every perspective.
Lina is known for her warm demeanor, thoughtful listening, and attention to detail. She believes that exceptional dermatologic care is built on trust, education, and collaboration. She takes pride in building meaningful relationships with her patients and ensuring they feel comfortable, heard, and well cared for at every visit.
Education
Lina earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisiana Monroe before completing her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Xavier University of Louisiana. During her training, she continued to cultivate her interest in dermatology through clinical rotations and procedural experience.
Expertise
She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates and is completing the SDPA Diplomate Fellowship program. She remains committed to lifelong learning and staying current with advancements in dermatologic medicine.
Lina recently relocated to North Carolina after graduating and is excited to serve her new community. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys traveling, working out at Pure Barre, and exploring new restaurants – she proudly considers herself a foodie. Lina is newly married to her husband, Nathan, and cherishes spending quality time with family and friends.
