The Fora Dermatology Medical Assistant Gap Year Program offers a hands-on clinical experience for recent college graduates preparing for medical school, PA, or NP programs. Participants are immersed in real-world dermatology assisting with medical, surgical, and aesthetic procedures, learning clinical operations, and working directly alongside board-certified dermatologists and physician assistants in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This program is designed for individuals taking a dedicated one-year commitment before beginning their next academic chapter a year that will shape your skills, professionalism, and confidence in patient care.

Program Requirements

  • Minimum one full year commitment to the program (12 months). Offer one- and two-year programs.

  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to multitask in a busy clinical setting.

  • No MA certification required, full in-office training is provided.
